A founding member of SEC Planning, Mark has had the opportunity to work nationally with private developers and municipalities. For each project he works with clients to define their development goals and understand their desired end-user experience. He brings a wealth of experience and insight to each project, presenting design options to achieve the client’s vision while at the same time, identifying opportunities to communicate the distinct character and personality of a place.
Mark is especially adept at facilitating public workshops. By opening a dialog to outline issues, clarify aspiration, understand concerns and educate regarding project design alternatives, he is able to define a vision and build trust with stakeholders, municipalities, and developers. In an age of NIMBY and prolonged entitlement timelines, he is able to navigate the approvals process to build consensus and gain community support to receive project approvals and move forward in a timely manner.
